3DS2JAG
-------
3DS2JAG is a utility which converts an AutoDesk 3D Studio v2.0 or v3.0 file
into the Jaguar 3D model format. The output is an assembly file containing
the 3D data which after assembling it can be linked with the final program.
The file name of the output file will have the file extention ".J3D".

Usage:
	3ds4jag [-l label] [-n] [-z] [-v] [-f] filename

-l label	label option, assign a label
	-n do not output normals
	-z Zdyble output format
	-v consolidate vertecies
	-f combines faces

OPTIONS
-------
-l Label Option. Assigns a label to the 3D data. If no label is
assigned the default label is `data'.

-n No Normals Option. Suppresses the output of the normals in the
        face list.

-v Consolidate Vertecies Option. Consolidates duplicate vertecies.

-f Combine Faces Option. Tries to combine triangle shaped faces to
rectangle faces. Note: This option does not work reliably yet.

-z Zdyble Option. This is a slighly different output format of the
facelist. The first word in the face list is the texture index.
If it's $FFFF the face is not texture mapped and the second word
is the color information. Otherwise the second word is an index into
the texture points array. The third word is the number of vertecies.

October 4, 1994
---------------
The files created with the 3DS2JAG utlity now use an extension of ".J3D".
Older versions used a filename extension of ".JAG" but this was changed
to avoid conflicts with the Jaguar JPEG utilities, which also output
files with a ".JAG" extension.

July 14, 1994
-------------
This is the first release that can handle 3D-Studio v3.0 objects.
Commandline options are changed from earlier version. Matching demo for
3D routines has been much improved.

The 3DS2JAG utility is now located in the JAGUAR\BIN directory by
default instead of the \JAGUAR\3DDEMO directory.

Some of the documentation formerly in the 3DS2JAG file is now included
in the main Jaguar Developer's Documentation distributed after July 14, 1994.
