Yes, I noticed that. These things happen.

I guessed as much, but was not quite certain until I saw this mail.

A friend of mine with a TT has a graphics board for it which I do not remember
the details of right now (incl name), except that it is not very advanced.
If that is a Matrix board I can get installation details. In fact it was I
who installed it for him, though I can't recall the details now. It may be
a completely different board though. The bad thing about his board is that
it requires proprietary drivers incompatible with modern NVDI. This means
it can't be used with modern versions of CAB...! He was REALLY disappointed
by that since he mainly wants to go into web page design. Fortunately he has
a Mac too to work with too, so there is no real need for pity. :-)

The best (qualitatively) possibility is that you have one of the many boards
using the ET4000 chip. Then you can forget their proprietary garbage and use
the graphics board version of the NVDI package instead, which includes all you
need for setting up and using such boards. This gave excellent results when
I installed it for a 'Crazy dots' board the same guy used to have earlier.

I'll throw out some queries to my friends to see what they know (if any ;-)
about this board. In the meantime you should check all major circuits on the
board for the code "ET4000" which, if you find it, is a VERY good sign.

That's irritating, but are you sure your request really reached them then ?
