Subject: Weird sources in the BJL archive

Hi '42bastian' (btw: what is your name IRL)

I have downloaded the BJL archive with the intention of making the Jaguar
modifications described and using my Falcon to experiment with software
for the Jaguar. In order to get anywhere without having to reinvent a lot
of stuff I will naturally need to study all the sources in the package too,
but that appears impossible. Most of these 68000 assembly sources are in
some odd format not using ASCII code, and I have no way of reading this.

I have a vague memory about some old 'turbo assembler' doing such nonsense,
but the only copy I have of that is completely dysfunctional on my Falcon.
It just garbles the screen into a mess that is just barely recognizable as
the tattered remnants of what should have been menus etc. Possibly there
is some file converter utility to produce ASCII from these sources, but I
have no idea if that is really so (or where to look for it). Do you ?
(Or possibly some newer version of that assembler...?)

I think it would be much better to keep all sources of an archive like this
in standard ASCII format, so that all can access them easily regardless of
what assembler or other editor they use. (I use PASM+PC_SHELL+Everest btw.)

Apart from this file-format problem I find the project very interesting,
and I hope eventually to contribute some stuff to it myself, though it
will take some time for me to get sufficiently familiar with the Jaguar
programming environment first.
