Hi Peter

>What do you think about Martin's message ?

I have mixed feelings about it, but all of them are decidedly negative.

>I can't help feeling offended by being called recalcitrant. Aren't you ?

Yes, I was. This is the sort of thing appropriate for a boss to say about
a subordinate who doesn't follow orders, or something like that. I simply
told him that this is a word that does not apply between equals, but if he
uses it again I will tell him exactly where he can shove his megalomania.
I also did not like his accusation of reticence. We never tried to hide
anything from him, so what is he talking about...?

That could be it. The way he said it also implied that _all_ STiK authors
would be obligated to release sources, in a way that would reduce the legal
status from SHAREWARE, not only to FREEWARE, but to utterly unprotected PD.
I told him that source release should remain up to the authors.

Yes, I can well understand that. He probably wants the same kind of chaos
which rules the MiNT releases, where no one knows what versions have been
coded/patched by whichever author(s).

I also reacted strongly against his 'ultimatum' concerning the resolver
STX, but curbed my response for the possibility that he may reconsider.
My immediate response (if I had not curbed it) would have been to tell
him to piss off.

Like I said at the top of this mail:

The feelings are mixed, but all negative.
