Is that really a good reason to delay all progress indefinitely ?
Since it wouldn't be so hard to port, and we still don't know when
we will arrive at a final format, why not do something now to get
going and then port it to the final format when that is decided ?

Since we are spread around the globe, this problem is inevitable I think.
And staying on IRC constantly to catch the important news is economically
impossible (for me at least).  So any discussions held there must be assumed
unknown to the list as a whole, and things of importance should be posted.

That is just my opinion of course, but unless it is done the efficiency of
this list deteriorates.  Only a minority will know vital news, and no one
will know it all.
