Short readme-file for the Terminal program T2.

It was named T2 since this is the second serious terminal-program i done.
Besides from that, i think the name gives you nice assossiations. :-)

It's basicaly a simple terminal, with one unusual feature. If you are a
Sysop/Point/etc you can use the nodelist as a dial-directory.
You must use Binkey's 'New Nodelist', if you run Binkley 3.* you probably do.

When you choose 'Manual Dial' from the menu, or press ALT-M, you get a input-
box on the screen. In this you may enter a Nodenumber (Sorry, 2D only) a Name
or Part of a name. If you enter a nodenumber, for instance 203/203. T2 loading
[nodelist].IDX and try to find 203/203, when it does it opens [nodelist].dat
and fetch the entry. All this take less then 3 seconds here, and i have a slow
Megafile 30.
You can also enter a name, like 'Stefan' (Case unimportant). In this case T2
Search your [userlist.lst] and find the name and nodenumber, once it got the
nodenumber, it proced as if you entered nodenumber. (section above)
If there is more then one 'Stefan', you get a menu, and gets select one of
them.
It is ok to enter 'Stefan' or 'Andreasson' or even 'Stef' or 'And' or of course
'Stefan Andreasson', but don't try to enter 'Stefan A' or something like that.
It would probably fail search. (I'm not perfect :-)

If you use a shell, it can be nice to know that this program can use an
enviroment-variable to find it's cfg-files.
In this case, Put T2.PRG in your path. And set enviroment 'T2=[CFG-PATH]'.
Example: Make a folder on your C-Drive, call it bin, Set environt PATH to this
folder 'Set Path=C:\BIN' in pcommand or 'setenv PATH ( C:\BIN )' in craft.
You want to have all cfg-files in the folder 'C:\ETC' so you set your shell to
'Set T2=C:\ETC' in pcommand or 'setenv T2 C:\ETC' in craft.
Now you can just type 'T2' from your shell where ever you are.

You can change the alt-keys if you like, this is because i didn't want to do
the mistake ST-Term (Came with FoReM) did. They used ALT-T to start a transfer,
That's probably ok in USA where it came from, but Alt-T on a Swedish machine
is the last character in our alphabet (). So every once in a while when i was
typing a letter or something, this transfer-box popped up. It was a nuicance,
and the main cause why i stopped to use ST-Term.

All the CFG-Files are in Ascii, except the T2.TRN. So you can use a editor
to change them, as long as you are careful.
The T2.TRN is the keyboard-Mapping, The supplied file is a Swedish keyboard.
Just delete it if you don't want it.

There is not so much more to say about this program, you can just press help
and find out for your selfs.

Good luck, and happy huntings!

Greetings from Janne (2:203/203.9@Fidonet 90:8081/105.0@nest soon 90:1101/105).
