Hi guys

Find enclosed a subject oriented index of RFCs, with the SLIP,
CSLIP and PPP related RFCs filled in. I've started with IP related
ones too, but haven't had the time to do this thoroughly. My idea
is we'd have soon a fairly complete index of up-to-date RFCs (with
obsoleted one eliminated) if everybody fills in the ones he's wor-
king with, for instance Dan putting in the HTTP RFCs, Gary the POP
RFCs, John for news (NNTP), etc. If you like the idea, go ahead !

I've chosen HTML, as 1) it can be viewed by everybody using CAB,
2) it can be transported via the net (the viewing person does not
need to sit at the machine with the RFCs, 3) display can easily
done automagically with a CGI script. For (3), I've included a CGI
script that can be used on any Unix machine running a web server.
It's name is RFC2HTML. Olivier's SHTTPD is intented to eventually
run CGI scripts too, but I'm not sure if it works already.

Please note on filesystems supporting long filenames you really
should replace the filename extensions by '.html' !

Happy RFCing.

Cheers Peter
