Kyle:

Spectrum files are unique to Spectrum to convert the files to something you
can use in Calamus SL or any other program for that matter you will always
lose something. I suggest that if convert the files to GIF or IFF as they are
the nearest equivalent file formats to Spectrum.

Daniel:

Touch-up will only save a 32 level TIF image. It dithers the image to 32
levels from the 16 levels it scans in.

Aside from recommending that you Scan into another package that will give you
256 levels of grey I can only suggest that you play with your intensity levels
at the scanning stage.

Sam:

To effectively wrap text around the graphic, convert it to a vector and then
edit that vector and place it behind the original raster. If the graphics
already a vector then simply apply the wrap around function and define the
offset by using the "Set Text Flow Offset" function.

We will also be doing some seminars at the Glendale Show for those who are
interested. Perhaps those of you in San Francisco could make it down to LA for
the show? It is a great Atari show regardless.
