(Cubase Audio Atari Vers.1.1 for Yamaha's CBX-D3 and CBX-D5)

Recommendations:

1. Use one of the following hard disk drivers together with
   Cubase Audio ST for CBX-D3/D5:
    1) Steinberg SHDI
    2) Atari AHDI V3.0 or newer
    3) ICD hard disk driver (the latest version)

2. Do not use any other hard disk cache software than
     Atari's CACHEnnn.PRG.

3. If you have an Atari ST/STe or TT computer never use hard
disk partition sizes bigger than 256 MByte. If you have an Atari Falcon
030 and the latest ICD hard disk utilities you can use hard disk partition
    sizes up to 512 MByte.

4. Whenever the computer is turned off or reset while Cubase Audio
was running, there might be a big file on the disk. This file takes up the
entire partition space. Before you can record on this partition again, you
have to delete the file from the partition. The file is named like the last
recording with the number increased by one.

5. Using the MIDEX/MIDEX+ together with the ATARI TT model is not
possible, because of timing problems with the cartridge port when using
the CBX-D3 or D5. Please use the SMP II Interface if you need more MIDI
ins/outs and SMPTE connection. You can also use the ST-MIDI 3, which provides
1 additional MIDI Input and 3 MIDI Outputs.

New Functionality:

1. Permanent Monitor in the Audio Menu
You can switch between two different monitoring modes.
   1) Permanent Monitor behaves like the one in the Version 1.0
   2) The monitor switches off while playback. While recording tracks
      their monitoring is active again.

2. An extended part inspector for audio tracks
The part inspector contains the record file name, the monitor switch, the
mute switch and it displays the remaining time for the next recording.
You can select a new record file name within the part inspector.

3. CBX-D3 support
The CBX-D3 requires that its operating system is downloaded after power up.
CBX-D5 features are disabled for the CBX-D3. Additional Mixer maps for the
   CBX-D3 are provided.
Since the necessary files for CBX-D3 support do not fit onto a single floppy
disk it is important to copy all files from the floppy disks onto the hard disk.

4. Destructive editing functions
The functions "Normalize" and "Reverse" are availablein the Pool's function
menu. They work on files or segments. When processing a whole audio file it
is possible to replace it in the Pool with the processed file by holding
[ALT] before starting the processing. The original file will always remain
	on disk.

Bug fixes:

1. Computer locked up in the following situations:
   1) Start Recording directly after the start of Cubase Audio.
   2) Playback of Segments in the pool directly after the start of Cubase Audio.
   3) While looping through the cycle.

2. Computer lost the connection to the newly recorded file:
   1) When there was no connection between CBX-D5 MIDI OUT and any
Computer MIDI IN (Atari, Midex or SMP).
   2) When the disk get full while recording.
   3) When the recording replaces audio material already recorded on the track.

3. Computer crashes when some specific hard disks were connected to the
computer and the CBX-D5. Especially some Seagate and IBM hard disks
    caused this crash.

4. Several problems with stereo recording are fixed.

5. Mixer for setups with 2 CBX-D5's is fixed. In previous version the volume
and pan control of the second CBX-D5 produced pitch changes and other strange
   results.
