NEWSwatch version changes/bug fixes.

v1.22 25/10/97
.Conversation when posting articles is also now displayed in the Verbose
 Window.

v1.21 11/10/97
.New Verbose Display window. All conversation between NEWSwatch and the
NNTP server can be seen in this window. Actual article content will
 not be displayed.
This window can be set to open automatically, if it is open when
 program preferences are saved.

.The status of the logging function is now *saved* when you save the
program preferences. This means that you no longer have to remember to
 keep turning logging on.

.If a STiK/STiNG error occurs, then NEWSwatch now retrieves the error
text correctly under STiNG. It has always worked correctly under
 STiK.

v1.20 02/10/97
.If NEWS.IN exceeds 999,999 bytes then the corresponding NEWS.IDX
file contained incorrect data. Thus any articles after that limit
were being lost by Oasis2 when unbatching.
Should now be ok up to 9,999,999,999 (more than enough).

v1.10 01/10/97
.Fix to a *major* bug. Sometimes history.dat was being written with
entire contents of memory thus on a a 14meg machine it was 9 meg or
more. Thus filling the partition it was being written to.
This could hopefully also fix the domain.txt corruption that some
 people have reported.

v1.00 20/09/97
.First public release of NEWSwatch.

v0.07 18/09/97
.History file was being filled with complete rubbish. Now fixed.

v0.06 14/09/97
.News Hound has now been renamed to NEWSwatch which is more in keeping
 with POPwatch.

.Improved cacheing of disk access. Should improve data throughput.

.New Program Preference; Safety Mode. The default is OFF.
If turned ON, then every file is closed after retrieval of EVERY
article. This ensures maximum safety in case of a crash, but slows
down retrieval time. It's up to you if you wish to turn it on, but I
 personally have it turned OFF.

.Keyboard shortcuts should now also work on non-UK keyboards.

v0.05 06/09/97
.Now only downloads cross-posted articles once. Previous versions used
to download multiple copies (one for each subscribed news group), and
then multiples would show up when unbatched by Oasis. This has now
 been fixed.

v0.04 26/08/97
.Now looks for the NOS GET file in the correct directory ie. SPOOL/NEWS/GET
This means that News Hound can now be used with Guy Harrison's
Make_Get program. Use Make_Get to generate the GET file and News
Hound will process it and retrieve the requested articles.
 Make_Get is available from http://www.swampdog.demon.co.uk/

v0.03 25/08/97
.When fetching specific articles from Oasis2 HEAD.OUT file, garbage
was being written to the history file.

.Sequence of OK, Cancel buttons changed to conform to Atari Compendium
 standards.

.Now deletes NG.IDX (Oasis2) when downloading entire list of
newsgroups. This index is then rebuilt automatically by Oasis2 when
merging newgroups or when viewing the list in Oasis2.

.CPS and bytes received are now only reset at initial connection, thus
giving a more accurate picture of overall CPS etc.

.Less flicker when updating the stats on the screen.

.Now updates stats whilst downloading large articles, not just at the
 end of an article.

.Now has it's own icon instead of using the same one as POPwatch.

v0.02 23/08/97
.Now doesn't get confused between email and news articles when sending
 from NOS/Oasis1.

.Headers only can be retrieved for particular newsgroups.
Prefix the newsgroup line in nntp.dat with an = sign.
 ie.
 =demon.test (to retreive headers)
demon.test (to retreive articles) The space is important.

.Oasis2 HISTORY file now uses correct name of HISTORY.DAT

.Completely rewritten the interface to STiK and dramatically improved
 the CPS throughput.

.BubbleGEM support now fully functioning.

.Should now update the times in nntp.dat even if no new articles
 found.

.More positive completion message at end of retrieval.

.New program preference - Post outgoing articles automatically before
 retrieving new articles via Retrieve.

v0.01 31/07/97
Initial beta release.
