                             Thomas Sahlin 1996

Version: 0.9

Release date: 96/11/28

The STEqualizer is now just about complete (see NEWS.TXT for
details). There's just a few GEM redraw things to take care of
now, the rest of the program is as good as it can get. The
STEqualizer is made ONLY for people with an STE/MEGA STE, I don't
know what happens if you try to use it on other systems, but they
will probably crash. You use the STEqualizer to set the MICROWIRE
interface which controls the sound output. You can set bass,
treble and volume, and your settings will affect every little
beep that comes out of your machine (that is if some other dumb
program doesn't change it too). To change the controls simply
place the mousepointer on top of one, hold down the left mouse
button and move the mouse left/right to decrease/increase the
value. You can run the program either as an accessory or as a
normal program. If you use MagiC you should run the program as an
accessory, otherwise you won't be able to do much at all really.
In this new version there's a help system available, it's not
much, but it's something, to see it simply press the INFO button
in the window, or select INFO from the FILE menu. The STEqualizer
can now also produce a test beep to help you tune your system to
perfection, to turn the beep on - press the test button, to turn
it off - press the test button again. The STEqualizer is now also
    resolution independent.

The STEqualizer is FREEWARE, which means that you can copy it and
spread it as much as you like (this is encouraged really),
however you may not sell the program or alter it in any way!

    ENJOY!
