                           Thomas Sahlin 1996

Version 1.1

Release date 96/04/04

Introduction

The TURBO Slider is something as rare as a manual screen saver.
You have to select it among the ACC:s to make it appear, this
is however NOT a bad thing because TURBO Slider does NOT hurt any
program! In the manual screensaver family you can also find
Shaded Balls which supports realtime rendered balls in 32 shades!

Installation

Put the "TURBO.ACC" file in the root directory of your boot
device, or in the folder were you keep your ACC:s. It works fine
on as far as I know any Atari.

Turbo, fast eh?

Yes, the TURBO Slider is quite fast as long as you have a
Blitter. It works without one, but then it's very slow.

Distribution

The TURBO Slider is FREEWARE so you may copy it and spread it as
much as you like as long as you DON'T charge anyone.

Running the thing

To make it appear simply select it among the ACC:s. While it's
running you can press any of the function keys, this will make TURBO
Slider change configuration set. There's 10 different sets to
choose from so if you like to use set one press <F1>, set two
<F2> etc. You can also press <I> which brings up a table with
info on the sets and wich configurator that has been used. Any
other key turns TURBO Slider OFF, this can also be done by
pressing the right mouse button or dragging the mouse if you have
	choosen this in the configurator.

Configurating the thing

To make the installation of TURBO Slider easier it doesn's use
any info file, instead the configuration is stored within the
program file 'TURBO.ACC'. This makes it pretty hard to use a text
editor to configurate it, instead you'll have to use the TURBO
Configurator that should have been supplied with the program. You
may also write your own configurator (see Appendix A for details).

Appendix A

The TURBO Configuration is just a simpel text file stored in the
program located at 24318 bytes. The text file was originally
designed to be an extern file and that's way it look's like it
	does:

Original TURBO Configurator#############

* F 1  1 A A 1 1
  F 2 0 I A 2 1
  F 3 1 A I 3 2

 ...down to:

  F10 1 A A 2 3

On the first line you should put in the name of your
configurator and on the second your name. The first two lines can
not be any longer than 40 characters and they have to be filled
out with the "#" character. On the third line you should put the
version number of your configurator (max 10 characters which is
more than enough don't you think?). Also this one has to be
filled out with the "#" character. On the next 10 lines you have
the actual configuration which is layed up in the following way:

In the first column you have the background colour for each set.

The second column represents the invertation mode. It can be "A" for
Active or "I" for Inactive.

The third column is used in the same way as the second but this one
represents the NITRO mode.

The fourth and the fifth is used in the same way as the first and
represents speed and mouse sensitivity.
