He says it's a superior clone.

I am looking for the newest version of the Gemini desktop. I like the
version I have, but Mupfel is a little flakey. If I like the newest
version and it permanently replaces the GEM desktop on my machine, I
will, of course, send in the required 50DM.

I don't mind if the new version is in German only. Is there anyone who
would mind sending it directly to me? I no longer read this newsgroup,
so please send all answers directly. Thanks.

We have PC-Speed installed in a 1040ST. I don't know where you heard
that it doesn't support Hercules monochrome. That's what we use with
it. It does an excellent job.

We use monochrome probably 99% of the time as well, except for a few
games perhaps, and some graphics work.

We've been very happy with PC-Speed.

Someone asked for a list of Atari dealers in Canada. I've been to
Toronto shopping for ST supplies, but I hated the traffic, and besides
that, we have 2 great dealers right here in Hamilton:

        Advantage Computers
247 Centennial Parkway North; Unit 11
        Hamilton, Ont.
        L8E 2X3
        (416) 578 - 6966 store
        (416) 578 - 7764 fax

        JMG CompuShoppe
        Harvard Square
        801 Mohawk Rd West
        Hamilton, Ont.
        ? don't know postal code, sorry ?
        (416) 575 - 3200

JMG has some great specials, and I'm looking forward to their March
sale. For some even better deals, come to the TAF show on April 1,
1990. In TO. Lotsa people and some great deals. I don't know the
exact location or time, but a few other people should.

If you're ever in the area, drop me a line, I'd be happy to show
        people where the stores are.

What with free trade and all, I think it is quite legal to bring
computers and equipment across the border duty free. But don't
        quote me on that.

We have STE's in the dealer's stores in Toronto. Is Atari neglecting
the North American market? Absolutely. Has done for years.

Or you can try Hamilton, Ontario. Great place to shop for Atari
        computers.

Recently, I have had this urge to start writing little video games
on my ST. Does anyone out there know about STOS?
I recall seeing it a while back. It said something about sprites
and being a game development system. How does it work?
Does it offer a lot of power? Can you access any routines through C?
Is there something better for my need than STOS?

Thanks for the help,

p.s. What the heck is Atari's marketing strategy? Do they have one?
Are they selling to Europe to generate cash for the US market, or
do they have no such intentions?
